Basic Parameter for Protein and cDNA Search

The information about DNA source is requested so that the RepeatMasker program can use the correct repeat sequence library for screening the DNA sequence. The user selects one of four options:

Primates -- Masks human specific and mammalian wide repeats.

Rodents -- Masks mouse and other rodent specific and mammalian wide repeats.

Other Mammals -- Masks repeats specific for other mammals and mammalian wide repeats.

Other Species -- Masks low complexity DNA only.
